Developmental Support Specialist Ginna D'Alba is a passionate educator who brings over 11 years of experience and proven knowledge of evidence-based strategies, adaptive instructional methods, and holistic teaching to the Confident Parenting team. She holds a Masters Degree in Special Education and has worked as a positive behavior support consultant, a special education teacher, and as an early intervention special educator.

"I cannot overstate how perfect Ginna was for our family. She is phenomenal at engaging children – even more remarkable given that much of their work happened over telehealth – and my daughter adored her. Ginna is funny, warm, flexible, and structured, and she treats every child she meets with compassion and respect. She always hones in on each children’s unique strengths and sees the very best in them, even when (especially when) they are struggling. Children pick up on that genuine acceptance and feel a special connection to her. She has a wealth of tools in her toolkit, such as Zones of Regulation, DBT, and mindfulness skills. Beyond that, Ginna is incredibly passionate about what she does and is always working to identify additional developmentally appropriate, evidence-based resources to effectively support children and help them develop skills. Ginna also stands out in her ability to partner effectively with families. Being a parent of a child with special needs, while being in the field myself, can be daunting and humbling at times. Ginna made it so clear throughout our work that she was here to support all of us. I will forever be grateful for the times I talked to her in tears and the reassurance and support she provided...In everything Ginna does, it is so clear that this is not just a job for her, but a passion. She is always available to support her families and consistently goes above and beyond. With Ginna, we always felt like we had someone in our corner who cared about our family and was dedicated to helping our girl thrive."

"[Ginna's] greatest strengths emanate from her depth and breadth of knowledge about how to engage children and mitigate their barriers to learning and development. Her ability to quickly learn her students’ needs and assert herself in their progress is commendable. Her support of children and families is both patient and compassionate. Furthermore, her dedication to guaranteeing success of all members of a child’s team demonstrates her commitment to success."
