Do you spend hours helping your newborn fall or stay asleep?
Does your baby seem to cry endlessly even after you’ve tried everything?
You are not alone!
Newborn fussiness or colic commonly appears around 2 weeks of age, peaks around 6 weeks and continues through weeks 12-16. What is a parent to do to survive this difficult period? Dr. Harvey Karp, nationally renowned pediatrician and child development specialist, has developed a “recipe” for soothing frantic babies. His program, The Happiest Baby on the Block, has helped countless families (including mine!) to reduce tears and improve sleep.
As a Certified Happiest Baby Educator I support families in understanding why newborns enter this period and how to use the 5S’s as outlined by Dr. Karp to calm your baby and promote sleep. Private in home instruction is available for individuals or small groups in the Greater Philadelphia area. Contact me for more details or to schedule yours. Classes are ideal for babies under 3 months of age or expecting parents.
